Vasa Previa research. The walk, from Boca Raton to Delray Beach, was to
raise awareness and money for research into Vasa Previa, a rare
condition. Goldstein's daughter, Sophie Isabelle Macadar, was born and died on
Aug. 27, 2001 because of the undiagnosed condition, which is almost always fatal
if not diagnosed in the womb. It occurs once in every 3,000 births.
